JM Racing Honda Enjoys a Successful Finnish Grand Prix

The JM Racing Honda team experienced a successful Finnish Grand Prix. Brent van Doninck delivered a strong performance by finishing fourth in the second MXGP moto and, combined with a ninth-place finish in the first moto, secured sixth overall for the day. Additionally, Noel Zanocz claimed victory in the EMX250 class.

In the first moto of the MXGP class, Van Doninck had a poor start but quickly made up several positions thanks to some clever line choices early in the race. He worked his way up to seventh place, but a crash in the second half of the race forced him to settle for ninth.

In the second moto, Van Doninck again made significant progress in the opening corners and moved up to fifth early on. He then launched an attack on Jago Geerts and successfully overtook him. Despite the hot conditions, Van Doninck maintained a high pace and held on to fourth place until the finish.

Brent van Doninck commented:

“This is my first top-five finish with Jacky Martens’ team. It took a while, but I’m feeling great at the moment and hope we can finish the season strong.”

Van Doninck finished sixth overall for the day and now sits twentieth in the championship standings.

Noel Zanocz began the weekend with the seventh-fastest time in qualifying and was determined to improve in the motos. He had a poor start in the first moto and began the race in ninth. Over the course of the race, he moved up to second place, but a small mistake forced him to surrender that position, eventually finishing third. Unhappy with his performance, Noel was eager to redeem himself in Sunday’s second moto.

After a good start in the second moto, he moved from fourth to second and then set his sights on the leader. In the second half of the race, he made the pass and pulled away to take a convincing win.

With 3-1 finishes in the motos, he secured the overall victory for the day and remains second in the championship standings.

The next Grand Prix is scheduled to take place in two weeks in Loket, Czech Republic.
