Two Holeshots For Henry Jacobi At Argentinian GP

Henry Jacobi of JM Racing Honda was notable for claiming two holeshots during the MXGP round of Argentina. Jacobi got off the gate like the bullet in both the qualifying race and the first heat, and finished 11th and 12th in the races respectively.

Jacobi is still building up after having had an operation to his hand just before the season. The track at Neuquen is very technical with numerous jumps and high speeds are attained. During time practice, Jacobi posted a number of good laps times, and came away with the 14th time. He got a holeshot during the qualifying heat, but battled to find his rhythm during the race, a problem that would plague him all weekend. He finished 11th in the qualifying race.

Jacobi’s Honda launched like a bullet in the opening race, and he claimed het another holeshot. The heat was a carbon copy of his qualifying heat, and he finished 11th again.

Jacobi rode steadily to finish 12th in the second race, which was good for 11th overall in the GP. He is currently 14th in the world standings. The series continues in two weeks time at Agueda in Portugal.
