Ups and downs for JM Racing Honda in MXGP of Argentinia

JM Racing Honda has had ups and downs at the opening round of the World Championship MXGP in Argentina. An injury and an electricity problem made it difficult for the team.

Camden McLellan had a huge setback in free practice. He dislocated his shoulder without even crashing and this meant the end of his weekend.

Brent van Doninck set the tenth fastest time in time practice. The track was fast and sketchy and van Doninck wasn’t feeling completely comfortable on it. In the qualifying heat he didn’t took a good start but it didn’t took him long to make up positions. He was riding in eleventh position till he collided with a back marker and crashed. He lost three positions and finished the race in fourteenth place but he also hurt his wrist in the crash.

Van Doninck was riding a really strong first moto and managed to finish the race in eighth place.

He was motivated to do well again in the second moto. He took a really good start and came out of the first corner in fourth position. Unfortunately his bike stopped in the second corner due to a electricity problem and this forced him to retire from the race.

Due to this set back he had to be satisfied with sixteenth position overall. Next weekend Van Doninck will participate in the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Harfsen!
