World Championship Points For JM Racing Honda At British GP

The JM Racing Honda team opened its 2022 world championship scoring account during the opening Grand Prix of the series at Matterley Basin in England. Henry Jacobi still battled to find his rhythm, but scored handsomely in both heats. Petr Polak was in the points in both MX2 heats, finishing 18th on both occasions.

It was not certain how fit Henry would be, since he underwent an operation only 12 days ago. The operation to his hand meant he had had no opportunity for bike training leading up to the GP. He nonetheless acquitted himself well with 13th and 14th in the heats respectively. This netted him 14th overall, a good base on which to build.

“I was not entirely happy with my riding, but given that I had been operated on only 12 days ago, I think this is something not many people would have been able to do,” he commented, “I can now train properly again, and we will certainly do so in the coming weeks, especially on-bike training, which was not possible since the injury.

Petr Polak was 18th on both heats, opening his world championship tally with six points, “I had a good start in both heats, and it was educational to experience the pace up front. A few small errors and crashes kept me from the results I might have gotten. We know what to focus on now, and we look forward to the next race at Mantova,” he said.

The next round of the series will be at Mantova, Italy, next weekend.
