Henry Jacobi takes first top ten moto finish of the season in Latvia

Henry Jacobi of JM Racing Honda has scored his first top ten moto finish of the season at the sixth round of the world championship MXGP in Latvia. Jacobi finished in tenth position in the first moto and crossed the finish line in fourteenth place.

In the opening moto he took a not so good start and came out of the first turn around thirteenth position. During the race he worked his way up into eleventh position and due to a crash of Jorge Prado in the final lap he moved up a position and finished the race in tenth position.

His start in the second moto wasn’t better and again he came out of the first turn just inside of the top fifteen. In this moto it was more difficult to pass the riders in front of him and due to this he had to be satisfied with fourteenth position.

With these results he finished in eleventh position overall and sits in sixteenth position in the championship standings!

Ivo Monticelli is working hard to be better each weekend. In the first moto he finished in seventeenth position. In the second moto he started inside of the top ten but unfortunately things went wrong for Monticelli and was forced to retire from the race.

Petr Polak had to come back through the field after a crash in the first lap of the first moto. He gave everything he had and came close of scoring points but finally finished the race in 21st position. In the second moto he started the race just outside of the top twenty but he managed to pass several riders during the race and came home in nineteenth position. Overall he finished in 23rd position and after six rounds he sits in nineteenth position in the world championship standings.

In two weeks from now the series continues in Maggiora, Italy.
