Camden McLellan finishes inside of the top five at the Grand Prix of Sweden

Camden McLellan of JM Honda Racing finished inside of the top five at the Grand Prix MX2 in Sweden. McLellan was riding two strong motos and with a 9-4 in the motos he took fifth position overall. Delvintor Alfarizi scored six points in Sweden.

The circumstances were perfect on Saturday. McLellan posted the tenth fastest time in time practice but had arm pump in the qualifying heat. Despite this he finished in tenth and was motivated for the races on Sunday. Alfarizi was riding a strong qualifying heat but while he was riding in fourteenth position he got a problem which his silencer and was forced to retire from the race.

The circumstances were completely different on Sunday. Due to overnight rain, the track was really muddy. McLellan took a good start in the first moto. Despite the fact that he crashed twice during the race he finished the moto in ninth place. Alfarizi was fighting for sixteenth but with still ten minutes to go he lost his rhythm and finally finished the race in eighteenth place.

The circumstances were much better in the second moto. McLellan took a good start again and came out of the first lap in sixth position. He had a good rhythm and moved up into fifth position in the middle of the race. In the closing stages he won another position and finished in fourth position. Alfarizi finished in eighteenth place again and scored three world championship points.

McLellan finished in fifth position overall and Alfarizi ended the weekend in nineteenth place. Next weekend the series continues in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

Camden McLellan back in the top ten at the Grand Prix of Finland

Camden McLellan of the JM Racing Honda team has scored a top ten moto finish at round fourteen of the World Championship MX2 in Vantaa, Finland. McLellan finished in tenth position in the first moto. In the second moto he was riding inside of the top ten as well but unfortunately he ran into a mechanical problem and had to lower the pace. Due to this he finished the race in sixteenth position. Delvintor Alfarizi scored his first world championship points in an European Grand Prix by finishing in nineteenth position in the first moto.

The weekend started on a dry, well prepared track on Saturday but after time practice it started to rain and this changed the track dramatically. Both riders were feeling themselves well in these muddy circumstances. McLellan qualified himself in eighth place. Alfarizi took a good start but lost a few positions in the beginning of the race. When he came into a good rhythm he managed to pass a few riders and finished the heat in nineteenth place.

The track circumstances were much better on Sunday. McLellan took a good start in the opening moto but lost a few positions in the beginning of the race. During the race his riding started to go better and he finished the moto in tenth position. In the second moto he worked his way up to eighth place till he got a small mechanical problem. McLellan had to lower the pace and finished the race in sixteenth position.

Alfarizi took a decent start in the opening moto and had a nice rhythm going on the track. With a nineteenth position he scored his first points in an European Grand Prix. In the second moto he was struggling to find his rhythm and crossed the finish line in 22nd position.

After the two motos it was McLellan who finished in twelfth position overall. Alfarizi ended the weekend in 21st position overall. In two weeks time the series continues in Uddevalla, Sweden.

Camden McLellan fights his way to a top 15 finish in the Grand Prix of Lommel

Camden McLellan of JM Honda Racing finished inside of the top fifteen at round 13 of the World Championship in Lommel, Belgium. Due to a set back on Saturday he had to start from the outside in both motos and had to come back through the field. In the first moto he came back to a thirteenth place and in the second moto he crossed the finish line in fourteenth position.

In time practice his riding went well but he wasn’t able to put a decent lap together. In the qualifying heat things went well with McLellan. He was fighting for a top seven finish till he got a mechanical problem, which forced him to retire from the race. Due to this he had to start from the outside in both motos on Sunday. In the first moto he took a bad start but he charged all the way back to thirteenth position. In the second moto he got arm pump and was on survival mode for the rest of the moto. Despite this he still finished in fourteenth position.

It was the first time in his life that Delvintor Alfarizi saw such a heavy sand track. In every session it started to go better. Unfortunately he had to retire from the first moto after five laps due to a mechanical problem. In the second moto his riding went well and he managed to finish the race in 27th position.

McLellan ended in fourteenth position overall and Alfarizi finished in 29th place in the overall standings. The team will now travel to Finland four round fourteen of the world championship, which will be held in Vantaa next weekend.

Strong performance from Camden McLellan in Grand Prix MX2 in Loket

Camden McLellan of JM Honda Racing had a strong showing at round twelve of the world championship MX2 in Loket, Czech Republic. McLellan finished sixth overall with a 6-5 in the motos.

McLellan found his rhythm immediately on the technical track of Loket. After a good start in the qualifying heat he had a hard battle during the race. Everything went really well for him and he finished the race in ninth position. Delvintor Alfarizi was struggling to find his rhythm on the track of Loket. He had another set back because in the opening lap of the qualifying heat he lost all his tear offs. He wasn’t able to ride the way he wanted to because he had poor vision. He kept pushing and finished the race in 35th position.

McLellan managed to take a good start in both motos on Sunday. In both motos he gave everything he had and finished the races in a sixth and fifth position respectively. These results gave him sixth position overall, which is his best performance in his career.

Alfarizi had a difficult Sunday. In the opening moto he collided with another rider at the start and after that he was struggling to find the flow. In the second moto things went much better for him till he collided with another in front of the pitlane. Alfarizi had nowhere to go then to enter pitlane area. He decided to go out at the end of the pitlane but due to this he got disqualified because he had to enter the track where he went out.

With these strong results he finished in sixth position overall and has climbed up to seventeenth position in the championship standings. The team will now prepare themselves for their home Grand Prix in Lommel.

McLellan and Alfarizi in the top 15 in Grand Prix of Lombok

Camden McLellan and Delvintor Alfarizi of JM Honda Racing both finished inside of the top 15 at round 11 of the world championship MX2 in Lombok, Indonesia. McLellan finished thirteenth overall with a 11-13 in the motos while Alfarizi ended up in fifteenth with a 16-15 in the motos.

The weekend started not that well for Alfarizi because he made a crash in the free practice session. Luckily he didn’t injured himself and was able to continue. Before time practice the team changed some things on the set up of the bike and this felt better. The qualifying heat started with a set back for both Alfarizi and McLellan. Both riders ran into the gate and had to come back from the back of the field. McLellan was struggling to find the right rhythm and had to be satisfied with thirteenth position while Alfarizi was following the group in the first ten minutes. After that he lost his rhythm a bit but he regroup himself and finally finished the race in fifteenth place.

Things were going better for McLellan on Sunday. He managed to finish in 11th and 13th position in the motos. In the second moto he also made a small crash which cost him some important time. With these results he ended up in thirteenth position overall.

Alfarizi was riding around fifteenth position in both motos. He was following the group for around ten to fifteen minutes and finished in 16th and 15th position in the motos. He is still missing some intensity and fitness but he will work on this in the coming weeks.

JM Honda Racing close to the top ten in Grand Prix MX2 in Indonesia

JM Honda Racing came close to the top ten at round ten of the world championship MX2 in Sumbawa, Indonesia! Camden McLellan had the speed for the top ten but made a few mistakes in the races on Sunday and had to be satisfied with 15th and 11th position respectively. Delvintor Alfarizi was riding a strong home Grand Prix and ended up in 17th and 16th position in the motos.

It was hot and humid in Sumbawa and this made it physically demanding for the riders. McLellan was riding a strong qualifying heat on Saturday. He took a good start and was fighting around fifth position in the first fifteen minutes. After that he dropped back to seventh after a few mistakes. He held on to this position till the last lap. He wasn’t able to make a jump and lost a position to Jago Geerts. Camden finished the race in eighth position and scored three world championship points. Alfarizi took a decent start and was riding just outside of the top ten. He was able to make a few passes in the beginning and was following the group for around ten minutes. After that he had to let them go and finally finished in sixteenth position.

After his strong performance on Saturday, McLellan had a difficult first moto. Due to some mistakes he finished the race in fifteenth place. Alfarizi made a crash in the second corner after the start. In the rest of the race he was struggling to find his rhythm and finished the race in seventeenth position.

McLellan took his revenge in the second moto. Despite the fact that he still made a few mistakes he finished the race in a strong eleventh position. Alfarizi was riding a better second moto as well. He took a decent start and came out of the first lap in thirteenth position. He was able to follow the group for around fifteen a twenty minutes but due to a small mistake he started to lose some ground. Despite this he crossed the finish line in sixteenth position.

McLellan finished in thirteenth position in the Grand Prix and Alfarizi ended up in sixteenth. Next weekend the series continues in Lombok, Indonesia.
